I hear that a lot. Change IS scary. Sometimes the company you're with drills that into your head. Other times you feel secure and leaping into the unkown can seem frightening. Like when you FIRST became a Real Estate Agent.

Let's look at some facts. Facts that should tell you that the AGENT is the MOST IMPORTANT link in a Real Estate Brokerage:
Buyers and Sellers were asked the MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR when choosing an agent. And the first 5 items picked (Honesty, Reputation, your Friend or Family, Knowledge of neighborhood, and Personality) totals 91%. Throw in your Designations, and 92.5% of the time, YOU - The Agent - are the factor causing a buyer or seller to choose you.
Clients are trusting YOU to choose a good company. One that provides SERVICES, EXPERTISE, LEADERSHIP. Put the same faith in yourself that your clients have.
When thinking about a new company, visit with SEVERAL people in that company. New and experienced. Agents that have been in that company a LONG time, and those that are recent additions. I (Greg Fox) tend to understate what Realty World Wichita provides our agents. Even then, I hear all to often "Can't be true", or "I've heard that before and it didn't work out". Talking to other agents can give you a solid picture.
I encourage personal branding. If you are the most important link, then your BRAND is SO important. My advice is to look for a company that CELEBRATES your personal branding. Why? Look at the chart above, clients pick YOU, not the sign in the yard. I want my agents to succeed, and I want to EARN their loyalty.
